Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (also known as Rise of the TMNT for curt) is an American 2D-animated television set serial based on the fictional ninjutsu team, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The series premiered as a sneak peek on Nickelodeon on July twenty, 2018. Adult and executive produced by Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, the series aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from July twenty, 2018 to August seven, 2020.

In the first season, the turtle brothers, forth with their friend, April O'Neil, meet an evil alchemist named Baron Draxum, and the dangerous Foot Clan. They as well learn of their Master Splinter's clandestine: That he was once martial arts expert, and movie star, Lou Jitsu. They must collect pieces of an ancient dark armor called the Kuroi Yōroi to prevent the Foot and Draxum from resurrecting the Shredder, a demon once banished by Splinter's ancestors.

In the second season, the brothers confront new and sometime enemies, virtually notably the evil Shredder, and must finish him from destroying all of New York City. In the process, they must also help Businesswoman Draxum detect his own amend nature.

On March two, 2017, Ascension of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was announced every bit a new re-imagining of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The series logotype was revealed to the public in mid-October 2017.[five] That November, Nickelodeon announced the official voice actor cast for the primary characters on the turtles' side. Feature film [edit]

On Feb 5, 2019, it was announced that a feature film based on the series was in production for Netflix along with the characteristic motion-picture show based on The Loud House. Rising of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Motion-picture show will be about the turtles saving the globe from the Krang.[64] The film had been slated to be released in 2021,[65] only on August 27, 2021, the film was announced to be pushed dorsum to 2022 due to production not being completed.[66] Haley Joel Osment will be part of the vocalism cast.[67]

IDW published a comic book based on the series, starting time in July 2018.[68] The comics concluded with an introductory event (#0), a five-issue main story and a Halloween Comicfest special.
